Investment Operations Officer
The Operations Officer will support the daily operational activities of the business, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution of processes. This role requires strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced fintech environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process daily operational tasks including account openings, transactions, and system updates.
- Validate and reconcile operational data to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal and regulatory standards.
- Monitor workflows and escalate issues promptly to avoid service delays.
- Coordinate with Client Relations, Compliance, Finance, Product, and Technology teams to resolve operational requests.
- Maintain accurate records, logs, and documentation for audits and internal reporting.

- Provide timely responses to inquiries from internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Rotating shift-based work as per department coordination: from 8 AM to 4 PM, or 12 PM to 10 PM.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Operations, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in operations, preferably in fintech, financial services, or banking.
- Strong understanding of operational workflows, documentation, and controls.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Proficiency in MS Office; experience with CRM or operational tools is a plus.
- Familiarity with CMA regulations or financial operations is an advantage.

Finance Specialist
The Finance Specialist plays a critical role in managing ZAD's financial operations, ensuring high-quality reporting, regulatory compliance, and accuracy across all financial workflows. This position is more advanced than a Finance Officer and requires deeper analytical capability, strong technical accounting skills, and independent ownership of key financial processes. The ideal candidate brings experience working in fintech, investment, or financial services and is comfortable managing multi-currency transactions, financial analysis, and complex reconciliations within a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Advanced Accounting & General Ledger Management
- Lead full-cycle accounting activities, including journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations.
- Ensure accurate maintenance of the general ledger with monthly closing entries.
- Review ledger balances to identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies.
- Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and CMA guidelines.
- Develop management reports, KPI dashboards, and cost analysis summaries for leadership decision-making.
- Provide variance analysis with clear insights and recommendations.
- Reconciliation & Control Oversight
- Perform complex reconciliations, including multi-entity, multi-currency, and intercompany accounts.
- Oversee reconciliation of all bank accounts, payment gateways, custodial accounts, and settlement accounts related to trading operations.
- Support internal control improvements and ensure financial accuracy across all systems.
- Budgeting & Forecasting Support
- Assist in developing annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
- Conduct scenario modeling, revenue analysis, and expenditure tracking.
- Highlight material deviations and propose corrective measures.
- Tax, Regulatory & CMA Compliance
- Prepare documentation for tax filings, Zakat, VAT (if applicable), and CMA-required reports.
- Ensure all financial activities comply with Kuwait tax regulations, CMA requirements, and internal compliance policies.
- Maintain audit-ready files for internal and external audits.
- Cash Flow & Treasury Activities
- Monitor daily liquidity positions and support treasury operations.
- Prepare weekly and monthly cash flow projections.
- Assist with FX revaluations, settlement processes, and treasury optimization.
- Systems & ERP Management
- Manage financial data and workflows in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (or similar ERP).
- Lead automation initiatives to improve financial reporting accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with IT for system enhancements and data consistency.
- Cross-Department Collaboration
- Work closely with Operations, Compliance, HR, and Product teams on financial impact areas (fees, user transactions, settlements, reconciliations).
- Support financial modeling for new products, pricing changes, or investment offerings.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional certifications preferred: ACCA, CPA, CMA, SOCPA.
- 4-6 years of experience in finance, accounting, or audit—preferably in fintech, banking, investment firms, or multinational environments.
- Strong understanding of IFRS, financial controls, and multi-currency accounting.
- Demonstrated experience in preparing financial statements and variance analysis.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities.
- Experience with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central preferred).
- Excellent documentation skills and audit preparation experience.
- High reliability, attention to detail, and ability to work in fast-paced environments.
- Fluency in Arabic and English (written and spoken).
